Vítor Maria

Vítor Maria Was born in Faro in 1965 and from an early age showed an interest in the Fine Arts. He had his first training in the arts area at Tomás Cabreira High School between 1983 and 1985, where he was a student of Professor Aníbal Ruivo and painter Rosa Trindade. An autodidact artist, concerned with exploring all possible paths of art and who have for himselve, a personal concept of beauty. The universe of his painting represents, above all, a spiritual evolution. Through a free stroke tries to transmit to the screen movements and emotions, so that, we feel the living presence of its content. Always with the concern of acquiring new knowledge, has been using the most varied techniques since, the pastel, acrylic, oil, charcoal, watercolor, pen, graphite, obtaining very surprising results. Although he likes various artistic currents, he identifies himself with realism and it is in the portrait of the human figure where he stands out most. A member of the PAS - Peace and Art Soceity international art association, he has been present in national and international exhibitions in recent years, as well as in the 2nd International Enviroment Traveling Exibition 2016 "The Evironment Meets Art” in South Korea; at the Rebel Ideas exhibition in the cities of Albufeira, Faro and Messines; at the Portraits exhibition at Kunstforum Arabellapark, Munich; and in the exhibition "Blues on the Screen" in the museum of the Costume in S. Brás de Alportel.
