Silvia Rossi

I am a graphic designer, work that allowed me to develop a progressively recognized creativity. From when I paint, I participated in personal and collective exhibitions, sometimes without attending directly given my character rather self-effacing. My paintings combine abstract and figurative elements and are constantly influenced by unconscious and my mood and make them often strong, aggressive from the decidedly contemporary trend. Influenced by my favorite and with different style artists as David Hockney, Rothko, Picasso but also Turner and Friedrich I'm bringing my art to a more intense and intimate level through a search of the sublime, of what is lost from view and you can just imagine, a combination of surprise and wonder with a sort of restlessness and tension using contrasting colours on weaker tones to give a strong and energetic that shake the soul of the observer. Quiet landscapes always with something that is mysterious and unexplained, this kind of perfect life that is not so perfect as it seems. I like to add elements of nature and animals to stimulate the mind of the observer to a deeper psychological approach in what is the darkest feelings and deep human reality that cannot be seen immediately but that, now more than ever, are part of our daily lives: loneliness, a sense of estrangement, cages, mental limits, restlessness. At the same time ongoing research into a minimalism stops frequently in need of a wealth of colors in paintings where the eye can get lost in a thousand details and nuances.
