Sayali Mammadova

Sayali Mammadova-Garayeva (b. 1995, Baku) 

She graduated from the Painting faculty of Azim Azimzade Art College in 2014, received a Bachelor's degree in 2018, and a Master's degree in Experimental Painting faculty from the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts in 2021. She also took private lessons and masterclasses in painting from renowned artists and in art therapy from psychologists. She is a member of the youth section of the Azerbaijan Artists Union.

Sayali works in painting and graphics. Her art combines reality and fantasy, imbuing them with new meaning and depth. Through images and symbols, she conveys profound thoughts about life, dreams, death, love, faith, taboos, freedom, and much more. 

The artist's inspiration can come from diverse sources, including words she hears, which become the seeds for her ideas and then paintings. Stories, quotes, and sometimes even calls to action in different languages against the background for her works, serve to create her semantic compositions.

The main distinctive feature of the artist is the small white people in her works, who live their own lives and shine with kindness. One of the examples was a personal exhibition in 2021 titled "Little Man."

Sayali as an artist is not limited to painting alone, but also displays her creative abilities in creating the FronS group brand, which promotes the creativity of local artists through various products. This brand is a bridge between artists and the public who want to purchase unique and original items with authorship.

The artist is a participant in international exhibitions and festivals, both in her country and abroad. She also conducts masterclasses and private lessons. 

Her works are in private collections in Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Peru, the United States, France, the Czech Republic, and other countries.
