I’m Kalpesh Thakar fondly called as "Calps". Am self-taught artist & founder of "calps.heartist". Hugely inspired and the artwork influenc ed by master artist like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Shepard Fairey et al. These handmade artwork are done using acrylic colours on canvas. calps.heartist create handmade pop art paintings of various celebrities /personalities and customized/personal pop-art artwork from their photographs/images. I love to create a pop art paintings of Film celebrities (both Bollywood and Hollywood), Sports celebrities, Industrialist/ Entrepreneurs (Executives) and well-known personalities. In addition to this, calps.heartist make customized/personalised orders, for gifting your loved ones with their pop art portraits/paintings on canvas with acrylic for their birthday and anniversary, I explore the concept of how to bring a prominent figure to life by creating their art work on different sizes of canvas. It takes around 3-4 days to create an artwork on canvas. These can be created either in black and white (Grisaille Technique) or in color (Chiaroscuro Technique).
