Eric Del Castillo (b. 1962, Mexico City, Mexico) creates mixed media artworks, photos, drawings and mixed media artworks. With the use of appropriated materials which are borrowed from a day-to-day context, Del Castillo reflects on the closely related subjects of archive and memory. This often results in an examination of the human need for stories and the anecdotes of fictionalized histories.
After studying film and painting, Eric del Castillo began his creative path technique of collage. In 1995. Grand a Fellowship between the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) USA. and the National Fund of Arts and Culture (FONCA) Mexico.
1996. Artistic residence at Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito, Ca, USA.
