Le dessin puise son inspiration dans l'expressionnisme et les grands classiques, dans leur démesure. Démesure dans la manière de bouleverser les formes naturelles, de limiter les couleurs aux nuances de rouge, d'ocre, de noir et de blanc, de défigurer les visages dans une sorte de délire douloureux, abolit toute règle, substitue l'hallucination à la perception sensible.
