Victor Ribas is a pioneer in creating photographic portraits with laser lighting.
He excluded sources of usual light from photography and change it to laser beams.
The author names his artworks as Linear Fractal Portraits. The reason is joint research in the field of "humanitarian fractals", which were carried out thanks to the Russian scientist philosopher Vladislav Tarasenko. At the symposium “Autopoiesis and fractals in interdisciplinary research of complexity” at the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2008, a phenomenological idea was presented that a human is fractal in its nature.
Visually technician of Viktor Ribas consist of multiple tracks which laser rays leave on the surface of an object, outlining the relief and helping to display its shape that is created only in our visual perception.
Looking at the photos, we can see the essence of things and people and easily understand the person, their occupation and abilities. This technique produces precise and impressive results.
The author excludes any other methods of creating of image in his artworks, except of using backlight color or multi exposition.
