Monroe II

In 2011, rebelling against being labelled a portrait artist, I decided to try something new, again. I love the character and curvy shapes of old cars and “L’époque” explores both the personality of cars as well as the feeling of an era, the 50s. You will also see some icons such as Monroe, Elvis and Hepburn, New York taxis, Brooklyn bridge and a VW Camper Van, however they were created using my original technique for abstracts, by pouring enamel paint onto a flat canvas - just like Jackson Pollock, but to create a figurative image.
