In this series the raven appears as a symbol of magic and mystery, together with the human figure in a kaleidoscopic world of color and light where abstract and figurative elements play of each other freely. In fact this pieces start off as an abstract painting and then the very abstraction suggests the figurative elements of the composition. The bold gestural abstract architecture gives way to the gestural and energetic figurative elements in the composition. Motion and emotion are two esencial elements that the artist seeks to achieve and express in his work. The Raven and Crow are amongst the most intelligent animals on the planet, and in multiple mythologies ( Native American, Celtic, Viking, Hindu, etc) they represent magic, mystery and universal law.
