This is part of the series of Walking Figures, walking for me is a metaphor for the journey of life. My figures are walking in the light and towards the light, which is our essence and destiny.
The painting is richly painted in many layers, creating a texture that invites a tactile response. Using both figurative and abstract expressions creates an even reacher, more painterly and expressive work. Motion and emotion are inherent qualities of the painting.
