Classic Wine - abstract iris flower

This is an original, one-off, mixed media contemplated impressionist iris flower wall decor painting. Materials include mixed media, acrylic paints, metallic pigments and palette knife textures on stretched canvas. Inspired by Pantone Color selection of vivid purple fashion and home color for 2018. The metallic pigments provide a unique sense of life giving movement through changing light conditions. There is little justice for the actual artwork through photography. My painting style is the use of altered brush strokes and the palette knife with modern materials to capture the effects of light on the subject, resembling some aspects of the impressionist works by Monet, Van Gogh and Pissarro.
