Watercolour done on location in Greece in front of the motif as is typical of the painter Sampson. She has painted landscape all over Greece and this particular piece is the island of Symi in the Dodecanese islands. Painted in the summer of 2022 during her stay there. The image represents the main port town of Symi with its Neo Classical style of architecture. The artist paints quite quickly to explore the quality of watercolour medium without over correcting.
