This painting was inspired by a mistake in my art studio. I was late for an appointment and left the art studio in a hurry, forgetting to place a brush in water. Days later i found the used brush in the paint palette. When i ripped the brush off the palette, the acrylic paint peeled off with it in the shape of a Mr Whippy ice-cream. I couldn't resist the idea of framing the "happy accident". The second brush is a deliberate attempt to recreate the happy accident. The two brushes are glued into a box frame on top of a collaged background of custom made newspaper print quotes from Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert: "Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep".
