This drawing is part of a series of figures walking in the light, ascending to the light, the vertical projections of light and shadows represents the here and now, the eternal present in constant motion, the apparent horizontal movement is a total illusion. Both our essence and ultimate destiny is the Light, which is the truth of our Being.
Drawing is the foundation of all my work, black and white being the most basic. I must be able to compose all the elements of a composition, form, light and shadow, depth, texture, movement, in black and white, which requires great mastery and discipline.
