Wild Orchid

I went further and further into the depths of the jungle. Air around me grew denser, heavier and has a distinctive sweetish smell of tropical plant’s pollen, which quickly soaked my clothes. Shortly the whole scenery became very gloomy, since sunlight barely penetrated through the dense thickets. My eyes gradually accustomed to the gloom of the jungle when suddenly I have noticed that something is glowing on my right. I stopped and stared at the light spot, and it took several seconds for my eyes to finally adapt. I did a few steps forward, and saw that a beautiful wild orchid leaned towards me out of the thicket. Her main flower looked directly into my eyes and it swayed slowly on the greenish-pink flexible stem. Her beauty stole my breath and I whispered quietly - Good morning, beauty!
