...it was the end of August 2020, a few days before my forty-fifth birthday, the moment in time that you realize that you have already lived more years than you have left to live!
I was enjoying the COVID19 ''free'' Greek summer, when John Fante (1909 -1983) came to my life with the raw short story ??My dog, the Idiot?? (from the novel ??West of Rome??)
He came to sign all these messages, which 10 years now, he tries to pass to me my own psychotherapist, my black Labrador Retriever.
What did I learn?
A dog constantly feels the need to express itself, to take a stand, to communicate, to be heard…
A dog gives everyone a chance…
He loves to be connected through touching, using his tongue and hates the imposition of social distancing, violence and repression, especially when they are imposed on him in his familiar environment and take him away from the people he loves!
A dog loves immediacy in communication and positive training!
A dog does not philosophize, does not seek to find excuses and does not lie.
A dog in front of the mighty human lobby has no defenses.
a dog leaves behind anything negative and toxic, but he does not erase it from his memory - he always keeps a small dose of defensive caution in him and as a true activist, as a graffiti artist, he marks his presence and continues his path…!
