"Swelled Black Flowers"

Nature in step, providing moderation and balance, in an intrinsic rhythm. The fragility of flowers takes over their identity, reverberating their sense of belonging to their community. This painting is about the series "Os Submersos", how refugees are fragile to the system, separated families, lost or abandoned children, hardships of life in a symbology of belonging, volatility, ephemerality. The flowers belong to them, their annoyances their privations in an inclemency forced by their condition. And that my unveiling through painting, can revalue our interdependence as human beings, narrating human history, articulating signs and language.
