Saint Angels Michael and Gabriel -“Icons in Romanian clothes” celebrated on the 8th of November The saints - with a confusing physiognomy, but with clear and clean bodies, looking like a Romanian folk combination of two components: the sacred and profane - they are in Haven, between the Earth and the Cosmos. They are put there by God to defend the Heaven from Hell: Michael does it as a warrior, sword stabbing the "black blanket" of Hell; Gabriel makes it peacefully, protecting a lily which rises safely and firmly from the "white and light" of Heaven.
