The painting is the story about two family trees. One is strong and steady while the other has been cut down. The ground and the roots hold the genesis and DNA of its future when leaves and seeds fly off with the wind to eventually settle on fertile ground. The leaves as hearts represents the numbers of survivors in that Family Tree.
